Hi Everyone!
It's WOYWW time over Julia's blog the Stamping Ground. It's time to get nosey and see what's on work desks all over the world. Before I share whats on my work desk this Wednesday I thought I would share a few of the projects that were WIP's for the last 2 WOYWW posts.
The first one is one of the candles I was working on last week. The second one is my very first "Stitched Project" My little Janome sewing machine has only been used on paper...lol
My workspace today is ready to finish off a few projects that I started at our last crop. Lorraine showed us how to turn unused stamp blocks into "Tim Holtz" wanna be stamp pads. Just glue 2 of them together with some velcro. Hey it works... She also shared her Alcohol Inks and showed us a couple of techniques.

ReplyDeleteI've only got 2 brown pads from TH so only use the one blender pad thingie but re-purposing old stamp blocks seems like a very sensible solution to me :)

Love the finished projects - have fun with the alcohol inks. I have made my own handles too - the Tim ones are far too expensive for me! (no. 34)

Still working neatly Marjo - even the alcohol ink shot is clean and tidy! And here's an opposite, my sewing machine has never done paper!

Tidy dedk, Marjo ... interesting recycling of the stamp blocks. I did have a little sewing machine but it worked too fast for me ... zipped right of the paper more often than not ... so I use my big machine for every sewing job now, including paper. Elizabeth x #55

ReplyDeleteLovely work there. I had not really thought of using a sewing machine on my cards Actually I doubt I could do much with it as it is a very old Singer, one of the very first electrified machines- it was olkd when my mother had it for her 21st birthday.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started just over a year ago I bought a job lot of rubber stamps off Ebay really cheap (cheap & nasty actually and boy have I moved on since those days lol!) - I spent a lot of time peeling them off the wooden blocks which I then stuck cut & dry foam onto, to use as ink blending tools. I hardly ever use them now, though, because I've fallen in love with my Inkylicious Ink Dusters! Happy belated WOYWW - late because been busy setting up my new Etsy store. Shoshi #97
