Newborn Baby Grant Mini Album

I made this little mini album for one of my client's little newborn baby boy Grant.  I ran out of my stash of baby mini albums I had made to have on hand.  I had decided I was going to make them as needed, afterall pregnancies do last a while..lol  This way they are special and made just for them.  I really only make projects that I need at the time.  If I have them on hand there is nothing really special about them.

In the past I have always used my Cricut to cut out a stork and newborn in a diaper to put on the front of the mini album and of course stickle the heck out of them.  I decided to try just using some chipboard embellies and no stickles!  It turned out cute and quite different than one's I have given my new Mommie client's in the past.  It works out great since many are onto babies 2 and 3.  It also gave me a good excuse to start using some of the Debbie Mumm paper and chipboard I got at Jo Ann's eons ago (at full price..yikes...I did get some new stash at 70% off..yippee)  I still have an abundance of toity rolls too.  I entered this little mini album into the following challenges:

Here's what I used to create this little mini album that all came from my stash, most of it eons old:

  • Cricut & Gypsy to cut out double tags

  • Cuttlebug and embossing folders

  • Inkadinkado Clear Stamps

  • Dollar Store Charms

  • Marvy Tag Punch

  • Debbie Mumm Baby Boy Paper & Chipboard embellies

  • Big Bite, eyelets and ring

  • Funky distressing scissors

  • Pastel cardstock

Birthday Party Purses

OMGosh this was soo hard not to really go to town on this project!!!!  I made this favor purse for Maddie's Birthday Party this Saturday as a prototype.  Since 8 & 9 year old's that have never crafted are making these I had to keep it simple...yikes.  Somebody better hide the Stickles!  Since I love my Cuttlebug I had to emboss the flowers, sorry Jamie I had to do it.  Plus the kids will love using it.  I feel like an addict that needs her fix...I know that I can't use or do anything the girls may not be able to do...Oh my, oh my, it is sitting at my craft desk in desperate need of more attention, distressing, some bling..etc...lol  I promised my daughter Jamie I would keep it simple. Boy that's harder than I thought it would be.  I will definitely add to it as soon as the party is over.

The girls will all be making and decorating their purses at the party.  They can take home their party loot in them.  Even though it is pretty plain, it turned out cute.  I had to use my 12 X 24 Cricut cutting mat to make them big enough.  Too bad they don't make pattern paper that size.   The girl's will be able to use many of the punches,  and my long lost felt stickers to decorate.   I will dig out any old neglected stash too.   I entered this Plain Jane into the following challenges:
Here's what I used to create this purse:
  • Cricut, Gypsy & Forever Young Cart to cut out Purse Pattern
  • Cuttlebug and Embossing Folder
  • Handmade with Love Stamp
  • Martha Stewart Double Punch
  • Marvy Flower & Scallop Punch
  • Butterfly Wire Ribbon
  • Velcro
  • Long Lost Flower Felt sticker
Thank's for Looking, comments appreciated.

Dragon Mother's Day Card

This is the companion Mother's Day Card that I created to go along with the 4 drawer box.  I knew I would end up making another Mother's Card.  This will be the duo that she actually receives.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  The Lisa Victoria Stamps are really adorable.  I paper pieced the dragon, his coloring even matches the dragon charm on the purse.  I ran his little purple body thru my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot's (just love that folder!)  The same pattern paper was used on both the card and box.  The quote "Youth is wasted on the young" by George Bernard Shaw just seemed to fit this card, dragons are soo very old afterall..lol  I entered this card into the following challenges:
Here's what I used to create this cute little card:
  • Lisa Victoria Dragon Stamp & Yardsale Mom Stamp
  • Cuttlebug and Embossing Folders
  • Marth Stewart Around the Page Punches
  • Marvy Flower Punch
  • Purple & lavender brads
  • Purple Ink & funky scissors to distress edges
  • SU Marker
  • Sakura Gel Pens
  • Computer generated quote

This is the duo, Only the card is entered.  The 4 drawer box was entered into other challenges with an earlier posting.  Thanks for looking, as always comments are appreciated.  Have a Great Weekend!

Mother's Day 4 Drawer Box

Yippee!! Finally got to make my little 4 drawer box.  This was a project at last Saturday's Crop, thanks to Gail for the great project.  I had to wait until my eyes healed from my cosmetic tatoo's to do mine.  My eyeliner is gorgalicious and I can see and be crafting again.  I decided to make this for my Mom for Mother's Day, she loves any shade of purple.  I will be posting the companion card later.  Have to wait for the Stickles to dry..lol  This little box is soo cute. I reinforced the inside of the drawer's with some extra cardboard (cereal boxes).  I broke out some really old stash that I forgot I even had, the Tim Holtz hardware, the dragon charm and the cute little purse.  I gave the purse a little designer touch by adding a little  Dragon Charm ( he goes with the card) and a little tiny tag..  The purse can still open for storage too.  I am sure my Mom will find some little keepsakes to store into this  sweet creation.  I entered this into the following challenges:

Paper and glass beads new, everything else from my stash.  Here's what I used to create this card:

  • Box Design from Kristen's Blog

  • Purse from Stash

  • Martha Stewart Around the Page Punches

  • Marvy Flower  and Small Tag Punch

  • Brads

  • Tim Holtz Hardware

  • Cereal Boxes

  • Dragon Charm

  • Hero Arts I love You Stamp

  • Made with Love, yardsale stamp

Thanks a Bunch! Card for Erica

I made this card for Erica, she came to my rescue!!!  She definitely saved me from a lot of pain. I had both my upper and lower lid linner done with cosmetic tattoo's on Wednesday.  Thank goodness for that tiny dose of medicine!!!!!  I busted out my very negected Monkey Business SU Stamp Set to make this card.  Naturally I had to use my favorite Cricut die cuts and Marvy Punches too.  This had to be a fairly simple card..heck my eye's are still a liitle blurry..lol  What we won't do to be gorgalicious.  Thank goodness I am trading for massages, who want's to actually pay for all that pain...ouch x's 10!  It was worth every second of it.  What girl doesn't want make-up that won't smear, and is always on...  It was definitely a fun little card to make.  I entered this little guy into the following challenges:
Everything came from my stash.  My stash seems like a bottomless pit!  It doesn't make it any smaller since I just bought some more stuff.  It's ok, the paper I just got for 70% off was hard to pass up and will be made into mini's real quick.  Digi stamps don't take up any real floor space...OMG my computer will soon need more RAM..Yikes.  So much stuff and I need more free time to use it all..This is what I used to create my card:

  • Cricut, Gypsy to cut circles, scallop

  • Marvy Flower punch

  • Pink ribbon & button

  • Fiskers edger scissors & pink ink to distress edges

  • SU Monkey Business stamps

Make the Best of Your Day Card

I made this card for someone special that needs a little cheering up!  This little Lisa Victoria stamp reminds me of playing in the rain when I was little.  I can rememer being barefoot and splashing into the puddles.  I didn't realize until I finished this card that all my "boy" cards seem to have a green theme...lol.  I made sure to give this little dragon some narly bumps by running him thru my cuttlebug, no coloring I paper pieced him and highlighted the mushroom umbrella.  I entered him into the following challenges:
Everything came from my stash.  Here's what I used to create my card:
  • Cricut & Gypsy to cut cartoche (Paisley Cart)
  • Cuttlebug & Swiss Dot's Embossing Folder
  • Lisa Victoria Stamp & Sentiment

Harley Momma Birthday Card

Our Cosmetic Tattooist is having a Birthday.  She is a gorgalicious Harley riding Momma!  Needless to say I have not created or posted any cards in almost a week...yikes!  I wish I could blame it all on my daughter Jamie.  She has started blogging and has been hogging my space...lol  All kidding aside, I have been searching blogdom for a stamp I had seen of a pigs on a motorcycle.  Of course I couldn't find it. I did come across a wonderful site One Stitch At A Time (actually Jamie found it), they have their own line of stamps and a challenge blog.  I purchased several stamps including Biker Brooke who is featured on this card.  I emailed them and asked for any suggestions on finding a Harley, they are making me one!  Yippee, yippee yippee..I am sure it will be in their line up too.  I am just waiting for it to be finished.  Once I have it I can complete my card.   I am so excited.  This will be a very special card.  The motorcycle Kathy from Stitchy Bear Stamps made is gorgeous!  Thanks a bajillion!!  You know who has been hinting for the last month that her Birthday is coming up.  I know that Kristen will absolutely love this card.  The card looks so much better in person, the bling, sparkle and shine just pop.  I entered this card into the following challenges:
Everything except the digi stamps and Sturgis Rally background came from my stash.  Here's what I used:
  • Stitchy Bear Biker Chick & Motorcycle Digi Stamp ( Harley digi was created upon request, awesome job and not overpriced...just ask and they will try to create.  Please check them out, they are fantabulous!
  • Computer generated sentiment.

    Digging for Worms Card

I just love how this card turned out.  The Lilly Boo Digi was the inspiration for this card.  I am glad I added the diaper fold pouch.  I wasn't sure at first how it would fit in.  I plan  on putting some real gummy worms inside the pouch just before I give it to my grandson for his Birthday.  The worms will tie in perfectly!  I can hardly wait.  I paper pieced his shirt and pants.  He is a all boy and loves to get muddy, play with frogs, snakes and worms...lol  I entered this card into the following challenges:
I am considering  using a digital camera instead of my cell phone to take pics from now on.  (Some better lighting too.)  Everything came from my stash.  This is what I used to create my card:
    • Lilly Boo Digital Stamp

    • SU Marker
    • Watercolor pencils

    Humerous Easter Waterfall Card

This was such a fun card to make! Crafty Cardmakers wanted us to do something new, a challenge we may never have done. I used a new freebie download from Bugaboo Stamps. Since Easter has passed I will save it for next year.  It looks so much better in person.  I did video the cascading effect, not sure if I can figure out how to upload it at this time...lol  I entered this funtastic, yes FUNtastic card into the following challenges:
