I Love You Beary Much Card

I made this sweet little card during our weekend crafting retreat for one of the challenges.  The time allowed was slightly over an hour, we had to use the stamp set's or die cut's the "Challenge Queen" provided.  I am sure Sandra will love being called the "Queen"..lol. Since I wasn't at home with all my endless stash I had to make do with what I had taken.  The "Queen" had some yellow scrap paper that I thought looked like balloon's.  I embossed them and attached them to my card with wire stems from some flowers I had just bought.  Thank goodness someone brought wire cutter's..thank's Laura!  The Bear stamp set is by SU, I think she is really cute.  I know my little granddaughter will just love it when I give it to her for her birthday.

I am so glad that it turned out so cute, and is actually going to be given to a loved one.  Most of all I had load's of fun making it,  guess little quickie's can still be wonderful creation's.  I entered this little card into the following challenges:

    Tink "Hello Card"

This is another card I made while on our little Cropping Weekend.  I never realized how tired I would be after 2+ solid days of crafting!  I think the packing, unpacking and repacking. unpacking could be so exhausting!  That doesn't even include my clothes.  Of course I didn't really need to pack any clothing, heck I stayed in my jammies all day Saturday.  Someone needs to invent a storage system that is easy for travel, like on pop out wheels like the rollerskating shoes...  I know staying up into the wee hours didn't help either.. Oh well, we are ready to roll again in August!

I love intensive overnight Crops, you learn so much, and it's soo much fun.  Maddie did great for being only 9.  The group just loved her, and she had lots of fun too.  It's hard to know how a young crafter will be on such an intensive outing, I am happy to say that she has been invited to the next weekend crop too!  She learned some new crafts, she will be posting them on her blog later this week.

Everyone brought all their crafting goodies, machines, tools, etc. and we all shared.  We had a couple of challenges that had to be completed rather quickly. (About 1 hour!).  It was loads of fun.  I learned about a product called "Un-do",  this stuff is awesome.  Needless to say crafting late into the night does create some crafting errors that have to be fixed!  Most little mistakes just make the creation all the more special, unless you attach it backwards or wrong side down..oops.  Yes this simple card needed some "Un-do"...lol

I also used some Art Glitter on Tink, it is a product I have never used before.  I really like the shimmer it produces.  Thanks to Gail for enabling me with her magic Un-do and Art Glitter...I entered Tink into the following challenges:

Only the "Un-do" and Art Glitter were new (Thank's Gail, love them), everything else came from my stash.  Here's what I used to create this little cutie:
    • Cricut, Wild Card cart to cut out card
    • Cute flower pattern paper
    • Tinker Bell & hello stamps
    • Copic, SU Markers
    • Art Glitter
    • Un-do(to fix boo boo's)
    • Nestabilities Die for cut-out & embossing (Thank's again Gail, now I gotta get those too!..lol)
    • Butterfly Sticker
Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.  Have a great week!

    Happy Wedding Day Card

OMG!  I finally used my Copic markers that I bought eons ago but was afraid to use.  I was amazed that they hadn't dried out.  I LOVE THEM!  I only bought a few to do skin, but I am going to add more colors soon.  I know that I can adjust to them easily they are fantabulous.  Wish I would have tried them sooner.

Thank goodness I got a chance to create at least one project this week.  I have been too busy with the new Kid's Challenge Blog and preparing for our little weekend crop to do anything else.  I am glad that I will get 48 hours of crazy non-stop creating soon!  This little card was a good little fix.  I didn't realize how much I enjoy card making and how bad my withdrawals would be..lol  My laptop crashing didn't help either. I made this sweet little card for a client that is getting married soon.  I just had to make it since my new Magnolia Stamps just arrived...they are so stinkin cute! To think that I actually used to think they were weird looking..who knew I would love all things Magnolia.   I entered it into the following challenges:

    New Kids Challenge Blog!

    Happy Mother's Day to all!

We have been so busy with family birthdays and Mother's Day that we have hardly had the chance to do our favorite things!...You got it crafting.  I guess trying to start up a challenge blog for kids took a little time too.  I hope that word will get around that there's a new challenge blog for just kids.  My grandkids are such joyfull little crafters we decided to create a challenge blog for them. My daughter Jamie's constant nagging " come on Mom lets start a kids challenge blog" was just too much!!!  It took me a while to cave in, but now I am hooked, lined and sinking..lol

It will be lots of fun, I must admit I am going through crafting withdrawals bad.  I do have a Birday card to make.  Who knows might get to it sometime in the near future......wah wah waah

If you get a chance check out the new Kona Kid Krafters Challenge Blog  and pass the word to any little crafters.  Have a great week to come!
