"We listen,we laugh, we sigh, time flies by"

I made this card for a friend that I haven't seen in a while.  Thought the CAS design and size would be great for writing.  I haven't done a plain and simple card in like forever!  It was loads of fun and so darn easy.  Less than 15 minutes including the clean up.

Not only was it fast to make, but the simplicity of the design makes it pop.  I think I am going to start making more CAS cards.  I did have to resist the temptation to color the small butterfly with my markers...argh.  It was tough but I resisted.

I entered this little card into the following challenges:

Here's what I used to create my card:
  • Stampendous "We Listen, we laugh, we sigh time flies by" stamp
  • Disney, Tinkerbell Butterfly Stamp
  • Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
  • MS Butterfly Double Edge Punch
  • Scallop and Round Punch
  • Pink and brown Cardstock
  • Funky Scissors
  • Ink, sponge
Thanks so much for stopping by, bunches of hugs Marjo

Happy Mothers Day and Babies!

Hi everyone!!  Oh yeah it's Sunday again and as usual its after 2 AM and I am still up trying to finish up my posting...lol  This is going to be a very long post as I have 3 DT projects to share.  I will try to keep it as short and sweet as I can...lol

The theme at OSAAT this week is Mother's Day/Babies.  I made 2 Mother's Day projects, and one for a Baby Girl.  My mother will get both and a client will get the one for a baby girl.  We have two sponsors at OSAAT this week,  One Stop Crafts and Digi's with Attitude.

I got to use I Pod Tween digi from Digi's with Attitude.  I used all the colors my mother loves, shades of purple.  I am entering her into the following challenges:

Here's what I used to create my card:
  • I Pod Tween Digi from Digis with Attitude
  • Happy Mothers Day Stamp
  • Cuttlebug & Nesties, branch die cut
  • MS flower edger
  • Copic Markers
  • Prima Flower
  • Purple Pearl Bling
  • DCWV DP & Cardstock
My second creation is an explosion box.  Gail showed us how to make these at one of our crops.  I used Hope Jacare Doodles Vase digi for my center piece and one of my friends Laura's hand made doily's.  I made paper pieced the vase and made it 3 day.  I am entering this box into the following challenges:

I used mostly Gail's Stash, just added My Mother's Day Stamp, Nesties and of course the Vase.  With a  $10.00 purchase at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps  you will get the April Collab.   The collection has both the Vase and Silly Girl digis along with several others.

My "Does this diaper make my butt look big" card also fits into another DT project for Simply Create's "Do it Yourself" theme.  I made the giant flower and distressed it to within an inch of its life...lol  I used Beary Dusts Stamps "Silly Girl" Collab digi.  Isn't she cute....I am entering her into the following challenges:

Here's what I used to create my card:
  • Silly Girl Digi from Stitchy Bears Digital Stamps
  • Hero Arts Sentiment Stamp
  • Cuttlebug, Nesties,Embossing folders
  • Copic Markers
  • SU Label Punch, MS Flower Edger

Do It Yourself!

What a fun challenge we have for you at Simply Create!  The theme for the next two weeks is "Do it Yourself".  How fun is that.  Of course the challenge is open to  interpretation and freedom of creation.  Isn't that awesome.  I think that's one of the reasons I am so happy to be part of their DT.  Our creativity is boundless too....YIPPEEEEEEEE.

Alrighty then, for my DT card I tried a brand new technique using melted crayons (new to me haha).  Maddie and I were lucky enough to learn how to do this at one of our crops.  Stacia showed us all how.  Thanks Stacia!  We had loads of fun doing it so of course we had to get some of the stash so we could do the same at home...lol

The scene on my card is entirely "Do it Yourself" as are the flowers.  Gotta admit it's really fun to do.  It reminded me of being a kid again and getting in loads of trouble for melting all my crayons on the stove to make finger cots.  Mind  you I wasn't in trouble for melting all my crayons, I got punished for using the stove to melt them...oops, guess that turning on a gas stove just isn't allowed when one is only 5...lmao

If anyone is interested in trying this check out this great tutorial Splitcoast Stampers You Tube Video.   Can't wait to see all your wonderful entries.  Don't forget to check out all the awesome DT creations.

I have entered my card into the following challenges:

Here's what I used to create my card:
  • SU Tree, Just a Note Stamp
  • Stazon Ink
  • Mini craft Iron
  • Cuttlebug, Embossing folder & Swirl Die Cut
  • Flower Punch
  • Glossy Paper
  • Dollar Store Crayons
  • Black Brads
  • Black Bling
  • Funky Scissors
  • Cardstock

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday? #94

Wow, I gotta tell you these weeks are going by way to fast and I am still not posting enough between my WOYWW posts...ugg.  That means I am too busy blogging and not spending enough time creating...yikes.   Oh well guess that means less sleep for me.  Gotta step up I am way behind on my crafting.

Once again I enjoyed my blog about visiting lots of blogs.  I may not have commented but I did drop by most everyone.  This week I have a somewhat finished project.  A mothers day card for my mom, yes this one is for her, she loves purple...hahaha.  Just have to finish the inside.

Can't wait to go on blog-about and see what's on your Workdesk!  Don't forget to pop by Julia's The Stamping Ground and join in the fun.  Thanks to everyone that stops by.

Cherry Clutch

This is a cute little Cherry Clutch Handbag that we started at our last crop.  Big thanks to Stacia for providing all the yummy supplies!  It was her turn to share a project.  I love the design of these little bags.  They are so easy to make, no cutting, just scoring a 12"x12" double sided paper.

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday? #92

Can't believe it's Wednesday again!  and time for another WOYWW at Julia's The Stamping Ground.  My how the weeks are flying by.  I had so much fun visiting loads of blogs last week.  Think I visited over two thirds of the group,  didn't get a chance to comment on them all.  A big thank you for all that paid me a visit and all the great comments.

For those of you that were intrigued by the "Baby Oil" and colored pencil blending technique check out "You Tube".  There are lots of tutorials for it.  It may not say baby oil, but you can use it instead of some of the other more expensive mediums.  Wonderful to know that kitchen oils work great too.  They just may not smell as good.  I have added a few of the projects that I tried this on.

My workspace has been invaded by my daughter and little grand kids.  They all love to create with Nana...lol  They come over any time  of the day or night and want to make stuff...  I love it.    .
My daughter is 6 months pregnant and on the floor looking thru my paper packs.  I had to move out of the way, I had been sitting on  the bench next to my grand daughter searching for digis on my laptop. The next  pics are the projects I created with my pencils and baby oil.  The Leprechaun one I used a qtip to blend with and the Fairy one I used a paint brush.

Thanks so much for stopping by and looking, can't wait to go on Blog-about and see What's on your Workdesk!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday? #91

OMGosh, I can't believe that it has been two weeks since I was able to join in with WOYWW at Julia's Stamping Ground!  Ugg....needless to say I have had major withdrawals...lol  It's hard to believe how much I really missed visiting everyone.

I sorta missed my goal of visiting everyone with #88.  What can I say, I have been a little overwhelmed with other blogging obligations and life has been a little crazy too...lmao.   I will do my best to visit as many as I can because I really enjoy it.  It's so much fun to visit, everyone always has so many wonderful creations, news and just goodies to share...I love it.

Who knows maybe things will settle in soon and I will be able to visit everyone again.   One can only hope.  Can't remember whose  blog I saw these awesome Copic storage.  She had a wonderful link to them.  Of course I can't find the link at this moment.    Not sure if you can see them in my pic.  They are fantastic....Thanks!!!

As you can see from my pic I have been busy creating.  The card I just finished will get a redo...Yippee for undo, I don't like the color of the cardstock I used.  I have another project on the right that's almost done.  My area seems a little less cluttered and cleaner than usual.  I know it's not really my style.  I really thrive in a messy space.  The little horde (my grand kids) where over and we all crafted soI had to clean up a little...rofl   Yes that's baby oil on my desk, using it with colored pencils.  Works pretty good too.

A big thank you to all of you that came by to visit and leave a sweet comment last time. Can't wait to see What's on your Workdesk! Oops almost forgot, my blog candy is still on if anyone is interested. The link is on my sidebar.

Hugs, Marjo
