Challenge #1 at Simply Create Too!

Hi Everyone!

Have you heard, Simply Create is now Simply Create Too!  Along with our new name came a new home.  That's right, and new decor too!  We all love it.

To celebrate we have 3 great Prizes.  Our Top 3 Design Team Picks will each receive a prize.  How cool is that!  Hint, they all have to be "snail" mailed.

Our theme is a really easy peasy one.  Did you guess...it's "All About Christmas".  I have been making all kinds of Christmas themed goodies.  Paper ones that is...

I made my gift bag out of a single 12x12  double sided piece of DP.  I added a gift tag, a bow, some gold ribbon and cording for the handle.  Curled a few scraps to add to the inside.  It felt great to use stuff I have had in my stash for eons!

My gift bag and the present inside will end up going to one of the girls in our montly crops.  It will be a "White Elephant" gift exchange....I am entering this into the following challenges:

Hope to see you all join in the fun at Simply Create Too for our very first challenge!

I used my little Janome sewing machine to attach my DP onto my card.  I am now able to sew a straight line...ok almost straight line..lol.  Used my Cuttlebug,  Nesties, Embossing Folders,  velvet ribbon, and a few of my Copic's.

Door Hanger Redo

Hi Everyone!

Yikes, this is a redo!  Guess that's what I get for not paying enough attention right... Anyhow, I had to make a new baby door hanger.   I made a cute little pink one, only to find out that the decor for the babies room will be Zebra print with a touch of pink...lol

I added a Zebra charm to this one.  Not sure if I will keep it on there or not.  it has a green tree on it.  My DH says to ditch it...what do you think?

I used all my favorite tools to create my little door hanger, if you want to know more just leave me a comment.  I really love how this one turned out.  I guess redo's aren't all bad..

I used some packaging for the base of my door hanger.  It's perfect to make it stronger.  It will last forever.  The only problem was running it thru the Cuttlebug.  I almost ruined a Nestie and my little bug...yikes!  It didn't go thru all the pieces, I had to use my exacto knife to finish the job.

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 127

Hi Everyone!

It's WOYWW time over at Julia's the Stamping Ground.  My workspace is a mess as usual.  You can see what my area looks like before I go to bed and what it looks like first thing in the morning.  I just slide my fold up table closer to my corner work space.  Granted, the stuff on and around it changes everyday...

Did you notice...my Cricut has been put away and now in its place are  my GC and Cuttllebug.    My little Janome is always out now, I love sewing on my cards.

Most of the stuff that is out just needs to be put away.  The cards are all out to dry/set and ready for pics.  Yes that's a new MS Snowflake deep edge punch.  The cereal box piece is there as shim and protection for my Cuttlebug plates.

Here's what I made with that zebra print paper.  Yikes..I had made a door hanger for a baby shower gift for one of my friends in pink.  I had to make a new one when I found out she is doing everything in Zebra print with a hint of Pink...lol  I  already posted the pink one and will be posting this one later today.

Thanks for stopping by, can't wait to go on blog-about to see what's on your workdesk!  Bunches of hugs,
